FIREWOOD

Corrin Tree and Landscape Co. 100 percent oak wood has been seasoned for a minimum of one year. Mixed hardwood is also available, containing Maple and Beech. We guarantee that you will be satisfied with our organic, planet friendly fuel.

The key to keeping seasoned firewood dry is to allow for air circulation. The ideal location to store your firewood is away from the home or any other building and away from pooling water. It is best if the wood is stacked up off of the ground. Do not cover it with a tarp. Firewood needs air circulation to keep it properly seasoned. Stacking services are available.

FAQs
  • 1.Should I split unsplit wood?

Unsplit logs don't burn as well. You can split them yourself, but remember they need to dry before they'll burn efficiently.
  • 2.What are the key factors to consider with firewood?

The quality of firewood that you burn will greatly affect the efficiency of your system. The main factors you should be concerned with are moisture content, tree species and piece size. Burning wood that is wet will result in a loss of energy output because the energy being consumed is primarily used for boiling and evaporating the water present in the wood. Properly seasoned wood burns easily and efficiently. Cut and split wood in early spring, stack under cover for burning in the fall.
  • 3.What's a Cord?

It is the legally defined measurement for firewood. In some states, wood must be advertised and sold by the cord or fractions of a cord. A cord must equal 128 cubic feet of wood.
